*Job Title* *Hadoop Big Data Developer* *Project Location* *Chicago IL* *Duration* *3 months /Contract* * Skills Required and Job Description:* *Interview Mode: Telephonic followed by SkypeRESPONSIBILITIES:* - Be part of a POC effort to help build out a new Hadoop cluster. - Interface with various user groups to assess requirements and design solutions to meet the requirements. - Develop working, well tested prototypes and oversee handover to operational teams. - Constantly review and propose best practices/standards. - Establish standards for data sourcing, integration and provisioning at an enterprise level, complex data environment. *EXPERIENCE:* - 7 or more years of development experience with Java and 3 or more years of experience in Data Warehousing/Business Intelligence, or vice versa. - 2 or more years of experience with Hadoop Clusters, including experience setting up, configuring, and monitoring Hadoop file cluster. - Expert knowledge of SQL (Both Hadoop/Hive and RDBMS). - Working knowledge of Hadoop internals such as file storage formats (Sequence Files, Columnar files, Parquet) and optimizing long running jobs. - Experience working with Cloudera and/or Horton works Hadoop stacks is a must.
