Security Solution Designer / Architect Consultant L3, End point
security solutions (Symantec AV/HIPS, Checkpoint Hard Disk Encryption), RSA
Security ID, Content Security Gateways (Cisco Ironport Web/Mail Security
Gateways).
Technical skill set
v Should have good understanding and hands-on experience on various
security technologies for e.g. End point security solutions (Symantec
AV/HIPS, Checkpoint Hard Disk Encryption), Strong Authentication products
(RSA SecurID), Security Event Monitoring/Management solution/Log Management
Solution, Content Security Gateways (Cisco Ironport Web/Mail Security
Gateways). No hands-on experience expected.
v Should have good understanding on network technologies - basic level
routing, switching
v Should understand customer's technical requirements and transform those
in to a technical solution
v Candidates with higher certification in solution design would be
preferred.
Non-Technical Responsibilities
v Follow the policies/procedures defined by customer & HCL, maintain
professional work culture/hygiene
v Review and Validate change requests/MOP documents
v Coordinate with other team members for availability of capable resources
v Ensure quality work - review and validate the technical configuration
changes
v Coordinate with Security COE resources for resolution of technical
issues/problems before escalation to OEM
v Proactively work towards the service level improvements
Technical Responsibilities
v Manage team performance, troubleshoot issues identified
v Manage support SLAs
v Work on Change Management/Trouble Tickets
v Highlight the issues/risks to the SDMs and seek help
v Ensure that project implementation is completed in defined timelines
v Help Facilitate resolution to roadblocks presented prior to and during
execution of a project
v Train junior team member to enhance their professional skills
v Technical Documentation – Technical Design Document, Risk Matrix, Post
Installation Document, HOTS (Hand Over To Support) document
v Tracking resource utilization, identifying and tracking the lapses,
improve project delivery process
v Optionally - Preparing Solution Design, Technical Design Documentation,
Project Plan
v Optionally - Preparing Project Initiation Documents or Technical
Proposals
v Optionally - Help Team Leader to prepare the Project Plan, Risk matrix,
other related documents
