*Duration: 6+ Months* *Experience level: 5-7 years* *Please share your consultant profile to my official mail id [email protected] <[email protected]>* *Job description:-* • Configure all aspects of the backup infrastructure including disk/tape topologies as directed in various configurations using knowledge of backup concepts • Responsible for backup and recovery methodologies and application of these methodologies including retention, reclamation, and disaster recovery. • Manage, configure and maintain multi-PB multi-tiered environment. • Respond to, diagnose and remediate issues in a dynamic environment. • Report on performance and capacities and make allocation recommendations based on trending. • Participate in capacity planning and performance discussions and assist in development and execution of disaster recovery exercises. • Responsible for maintaining current microcode and software component levels. • 24x7 Tier 3 support and on-call support responsibilities. *Experience:* • 8+ years of working Experience managing Netbackup software, NBU master/media servers and client software is must • Must have experience / working knowledge of Netbackup appliances. • Knowledge of SAN fabric, tape drives, tape libraries, Deduplication, disk storage and VTL's (virtual tape libraries). • Network knowledge, including bandwidth, NIC configuration, CIFS, NFS, and NDMP is required. • Operating systems knowledge, including Windows, Linux and AIX is required. Solaris knowledge would be a plus. • Provide 3rd level support to tickets/requests in accordance to SLA/OLA timeframes. • Experience with VMware and Netbackup integration is required (Accelerator, Instant recovery, replication director etc) • Experience with Netbackup Application and Database agents (primarily Oracle) • Experience in performance, tuning and capacity planning is required • Experience with proactive monitoring, dashboards, reporting and automation is required (OpsCenter is preferred). • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking principles is critical for this role. • Knowledge of SOX/PCI compliance policy requirements for data protection are essential *Skills: * • Expertise with Netbackup software and appliances and all their capabilities such as deduplication, AIR, Accelerators, SLP, etc • Experience with Backup servers consolidation and optimization • String knowledge of Netbackup software technologies (Multi-Plexing, Streaming, policy management, netbackup appliances) are required • Experience in performance, tuning, and capacity planning • Vendor management is essential • Excellent people and communications skills are an absolute requirement. • Excellent troubleshooting skills are required. *Thanks,* *Amit Sharma* *Sr. Resource Executive* P.
