*Job Title Citrix Engineer* *Location NC/Winston-Salem* *Duration 6 Month / Contract * *MOI Tel + skype* Client -- AIG *DESCRIPTION:* *Essential Functions:* • Manage XenDesktop / VDI infrastructure for the Enterprise. • Manage XenApp infrastructure for the Enterprise. • Work with Desktop, Help Desk, and other support teams as a subject matter expert and third level support for incident and problem escalations. The candidate must be willing to accommodate weekend, week night, or on-call schedules when necessary. • Investigate the latest technologies to provide continuous improvement to both the VDI and virtual application environments. • Perform disaster recovery for the Citrix virtual environments. • Coordinate service/support needs with Vendors, Technical Support Engineers, Application Support Engineers, and the Infrastructure Teams through effective partnership, collaboration and communication. • Provide technical expertise for multiple programs and projects running within the VDI and/or XenApp environments. • Participate in security and application troubleshooting and incident problem resolutions with other infrastructure teams, including storage, messaging, networking, and servers. *Skills:* • Extensive experience with designing, implementing, and supporting Citrix XenApp, particularly with versions 6.5 and newer. • Extensive experience with designing, implementing, and supporting Citrix XenDesktop, particularly with version 5.6 and newer. • Extensive experience with designing, implementing, and supporting secondary Citrix systems (Web Interface/Storefront, Edgesight, Citrix Universal Printing Server, Profile Manager, etc…) • Extensive experience with Windows Server 2008 R2 and 2012 R2 particularly Remote Desktop Services and Application servers in an enterprise environment. • Experience working with VMWare vCenter as a hypervisor and managing virtual machines. • Experience setting up, configuring, and supporting thin clients (Dell/Wyse preferred). • Experience with installation, configuration, and support of key business applications running in a virtual environment (SAP, SAS, Captiva, etc…) • Experience working with security team for vulnerability assessment and remediation on application and web servers. • PowerShell scripting experience related to managing XenDesktop, vCenter, and Windows server OS functions. • Experience with Citrix Netscalers a plus • Experience with Microsoft AppV and/or AppSense is a plus • Experience with Tricerat or other advanced printing solutions is a plus. • Solid understanding of IT components including Networking, Network Load Balancing, various Operating Systems, SAN/NAS storage, Vmware ESX, x64 hardware. • Must have a solid understanding of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) principles, practices and processes in providing and managing the delivery of a large scale, enterprise-wide service. This includes incident management, problem management, change management, configuration management, and availability/continuity management. The member must have sufficient knowledge and experience to design and establish these processes and practices within a service organization. • Ability to work successfully with others in large and small teams.
