Programmer ( Programmer Analyst) * *Duration: 12 months contract* *Location: Plano, TX* Job Description: Work as part of a team of developers to plan, design, document, develop, modify, test, support, and troubleshoot applications and related tools used for processing financial transactions in a POS terminal environment. Also required to conceive and design new solutions to meet business needs as they arise. Job Responsibilities: · *Excellent C skills.* · *Embedded systems experience is a must.* · *Experience in the POS or financial transaction processing industry STRONGLY preferred.* · A results-oriented attitude is a must. · Your peers consider you a top performer; you are both very fast and very effective. · Ability to plan a project for yourself and others so that all milestones are met or exceeded. · Strong analytical and problem solving abilities. · Strong oral and written communications skills. · Ability to take ownership of large tasks and/or projects with little or no assistance from others. · Participates in design, documentation, and code reviews. · Perform through unit, integration and system testing. · Support Quality Assurance testing. · Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems. · Responsible for resolving library and application related problems. · Works with technical groups, quality assurance, and customer support groups to resolve problems. *Qualifications: * · *Education/Certification*: B.S./B.A., technical certification, or equivalent experience · *Required Knowledge*: Previous application development experience in C or C++ with terminals from one or more of the following POS equipment vendors: VeriFone, Hypercom or Equinox · *Experience Required*: 4-8 years’ work experience *Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:* · *Physical Requirements: *Those required in a typical office environment including sitting most of the time, finger dexterity for computer and paper work, talking to convey detailed or important instructions, average hearing for normal conversations, and average visual acuity.
