*Kindly let me know if anyone available with required skills. * *Please send resumes to [email protected] <[email protected]>* Our client has an immediate need for a *MID-LEVEL LAN/WAN Specialist. * ****They are looking for someone with 5 to 6 years of experience (MID-LEVEL) they DO NOT want someone that has 10 + years of experience**** Location – Cranston, RI (right outside of Providence, RI) Duration – 5 to 6 Months – but could go longer. Communication skills are VERY important!! Phone and Skype interviews only – no F2F interviews required. So non-local candidates are ok for this, but they must be able to relocate and start quickly. Start date is ASAP. *ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* Works with Company’s network / Telco providers: Configure and setup firewalls, routers, switches, wireless access points and Security appliances for access to vital business applications (coordinating with DIR of InfoSec ensuring security compliance). Maintains a thorough understanding of the basics behind the Internet and its workings (DNS, Security, IP Routing, HTTP, VPN, Email Routing, SPAM, etc.) Configures and sets up switching environments Configures and sets up wireless networking that supports open or secured access and the ability to support voice and video applications Maintains documentation and network diagrams of network topology Supports the design of multi-server environments including IP address schemes, DNS, DHCP, etc. Configure and install client and server network software for upgrading and maintaining network and telecommunication systems Manages assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives Responds to inquiries from staff, administrators, service providers, site personnel and outside vendors to provide technical assistance and support Troubleshoots malfunctions of network hardware and software applications, telephones and security systems to resolve operational issues and restore services *SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:* Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience A professional certification, such as the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), also is highly desirable Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment Ability to work independently while part of a team Excellent trouble shooting skills. Working knowledge of network technologies Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Professional but sociable demeanor (ability to work directly with staff, clients or marketing teams).
