This engineer will provide technical leadership and mentoring to internal and external team members for the development and maintenance of the Consumer Advantage applications user interfaces and the business layer Java code used by the Consumer Informed Enrollment and Personal Health Insights applications. They will also be responsible for their own development efforts in these areas. They will also work closely with Consumer Product Management, the client account teams, and the Virtusa maintenance team to ensure smooth client implementations, primarily for Informed Enrollment (IE). *Essential Responsibilities *
· Provide direction, guidance, and oversight to internal and external team members who are developing the Consumer Advantage application user interfaces leveraging the Spring MVC, Angular, Twitter Bootstrap, and Java Script tools that are used in the new single page application framework. · Provide direction and oversight to internal and external team members who are developing the Java code for the Consumer Business layer. · Develop Java code to create, modify, update, and delete data for Consumer applications. · Develop Java code to support and enhance the Consumer applications. · Develop responsive applications leveraging the new single page application framework. · Collaborate with product management, development management, and product development teams to assess and scope projects, identify technology risks, and define technical requirements. · Work closely with software development management, product management, implementations staff, and client account teams to plan for and manage enhancements to the Consumer Advantage application user interfaces and the Informed Enrollment cost modeling. · Provide problem determination expertise for the production systems and client implementation issues. · Initiate and drive best practice process improvements across the design, build, and test phases of software development. · Follow our agile development process. · Work with the User Experience staff to implement application screens according to UX wireframes. · Participate in application deployments to ensure successful delivery of software · Implement business services needed by the application. Consult with Shared Services team to identify opportunities for reuse. · Diagnose and fix functional problems and identify solutions. · Participate and collaborate in the review of quality assurance test cases. · Adhere to defined product development processes and established schedules and deadlines. · Expand own knowledge and skills through training, mentoring, and other methods *REQUIRED Skills and Experience* · Experience with Spring MVC, Angular, Twitter Bootstrap, Java Script, JSON, and HTML5 · 5 years of Java and Web Application Development · 5 years of HTML, XSL, CSS · 5 years of back end service development · 2-3 years' experience with an Agile software development methodology · 2-3 years' experience with Web Services · Excellent communications skills · Excellent problem solving skills · Sensitivity to customer perspective when communicating directly with internal and external clients. · Ability to work closely with geographically dispersed client and implementation teams. · Proven ability to work with offshore development partners. · Proven understanding and skill in Object Oriented design and implementation. · Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, Rally, Eclipse, and Subversion *About Net2Source, Inc.* Net2Source is an employer-of-choice for over 1000 consultants across the globe.
