*Description:*
Seeking an ASP.Net Analyst for 3 – 6 months to assist with web application
migration and enhancements. The work will be to implement requirements
defined by the application development and site coordinators. Below is a
specific statement of work and the skill set we are seeking:
*Statement of Work:*
- Migrate 6 existing NRIMP applications from ASP.Net 1.1 to ASP.Net 3.5,
from Visual Studio 2008 to Visual Studio 2013, and from the Windows Server
2008 server to the Windows Server 2012 server.
- Enhance Data Clearinghouse data access security (i.e. allow data
providers to designate who can see their data and implement ODFW
authorization access)
- Add fields and internal query capability to the Data Clearinghouse
(DC) (e.g. allow NRIMP site coordinators to designate fields to search
attached metadata or populate fields to identify BPA funded projects,
Coordinated Assessments (CA) related datasets, Indicator type,
PopulationID, ESU, Population Name, etc.)
- Enhance publically accessible DC input and query features (specifics
are TBD)
- Add DES attribute fields to existing field datasets to increase DES
compliance *after uploading* to the DC
- Link reference database to the DC records
- Enhance Wildlife Habitat Conservation and Management Program based on
expressed specifications
*The skills necessary to do this work would include:*
- Languages:
- HTML
- CSS
- JavaScript
- C#
- T-SQL (SQL programming language)
- Frameworks:
- ASP.NET 3.5
- ADO.NET 3.5
- Tools:
- Visual Studio 2013
- SQL Server Management Studio 2012
- Mercurial source code control.
- Desired experience:
- Upgrading projects from VS 2008 to VS 2013
- Upgrading projects from ASP.Net 1.1 to ASP.Net 3.5
- Working with Microsoft SQL Server, both programming and
administration
- Implementing web applications based on ASP.Net 3.5, C#, and
JavaScript
Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including encoding,
testing, debugging and installing to support an organization's application
systems. Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and
to clarify program objectives. May be expected to write documentation to
describe program development, logic, coding, and corrections. Writes manual
for users to describe installation and operating procedures. Require a
bachelor's degree in a related area and at least 2 years or equivalent
experience in the field or in a related area. Working knowledge of
relational databases, client-server concepts, and web site development.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a
variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
