Designs, develops, and implements software/web applications to support business requirements. Follows approved life cycle methodologies, creates design documents, and performs program coding and testing. Codes software/web applications to adhere to designs supporting internal business requirements. *Skills:* • Proficient with standard object oriented development concepts, practices, and *procedures (Java and/or C#)* with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience • Working understanding of relational databases *(MySQL, Oracle or similar)* • Working understanding with typical web and application servers *(Tomcat, Apache, IIS, asp.net <http://asp.net>, jsp or similar)* • Self-starter and requires minimal supervision *Preferred Skills:* • Knowledge in *Python,* scripting and high level programming languages. • Knowledge of distributed system, PC communications with third party dongles. • Understanding of software engineering principles and processes. • Familiar with software management tools like *version control/ bug tracking*. • Experience in debugging techniques. • Familiar/experience with unit tests and test frameworks. • Familiar with client/server and UI frameworks. *Job duties:* • Understand existing source code in *Java and C#*. Understand appropriate verification practices and tools. • Perform firmware/software integration testing and software validation testing.
