*Position Summary *
The UCPath Enterprise Security Lead is responsible for designing and
managing the delivery of the integrated enterprise-level security model for
the UCPath Integrated Technology Platform. Under the direction of the
UCPath Technical Program Manager, this position will lead a team of
security analysts that will manage internal- and external-facing security
for data, connectivity, applications, and tools that comprise the UCPath
Integrated Technology Platform. The Enterprise Security Lead will be
responsible for ensuring that production-level processes are in place for
granting, removing, and modifying roles and user access permissions. Duties
of this position include the following
- Work with security professionals (UC and external parties) on
establishing the design, delivery and subsequent execution of:
- Bidirectional encryption of data in transit between UCPath
locations over public infrastructure
- Best practices (masking, encryption, etc.) for safeguarding data at
rest
- Encryption Key Material Lifecycle Management e.g. generation,
management and distribution of key materials (e.g. SSH, PGP, etc.)
- Federated Authentication (similar to SSO) capabilities of UCPath
software components
- SOAP style WebService integration, SFTP file exchange, etc.
- Manage the integration of UC’s federated single sign-on and identity
management technologies into UCPath.
- Manage the design, implementation and maintenance of all aspects of
system security for multiple PeopleSoft application environments, including
HCM and Interaction Hub.
- Manage the design and delivery of best-practice based data encryption
solutions, to include transaction and file-based data in transit and data
at rest.
- Direct the establishment and management of permissions, roles and
groups (application security model) on applicable platforms to support:
- Multiple user segments e.g. Employee & manager self-service users,
Employee Service Agents, etc.
- UCPath system engineers (e.g. developers, testers, contractors,
etc.)
- Service accounts (i.e. non-interactive accounts)
- Role Based Access Control
- Separation of Duties as warranted by business process
- Data restrictions e.g. Live data, restricted data (PII, etc.)
- Establish and manage best-practice processes (reusable services) to
support:
- On-boarding and off-boarding users (development and production)
- Temporary modifications e.g. Emergency production support
permissions granting
- Analysis and resolution of security issues (pre and post
implementation)
- Proactive application security hardening (e.g. post version
upgrades, default account removal, etc.)
- Actively participate on the remediation of risks identified during
periodic penetration testing, known vulnerabilities, etc.
- Oversee analysis and resolution of security issues and access problems
before and during UCPath pilot deployments.
*Required Qualifications*
- Bachelors degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
- Knowledge of data encryption best practices and technologies for data
at rest and in transit
- Familiarity with federated authentication e.g. authenticating with
Identity Providers to facilitate access to resources offered by Service
Providers. Working knowledge of Shibboleth, SAML, IdP, SP, webgate, OAM,
OIF, etc. technologies is ideal.
- Knowledge of the SAML 2.0 protocol
- Experience implementing an integrated security model for enterprise
applications in a higher education environment
- Working knowledge of all aspects of the security audit process.
- Creating and maintaining thorough and complete technical documentation
of the ERP Systems, architecture and environments
- Excellent technical project management skills responsible to drive
business discussion independently, provide status reports, presentations,
and general communication related to any environment activities
- Committed to work in a fast paced environment and ability to manage
multiple concurrent work assignments
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, as well as written and
oral communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills, including the ability to lead
conversations and articulate complex plans to both leadership and technical
teams.
- Excellent analytical, design, and organizational skills, with strong
critical thinking and problem solving abilities.
*Preferred Qualifications*
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft 9.1 or above, PeopleTools 8.5.x, OBIEE
security, Integration Broker, the Component Interface, and PeopleSoft
security management
- Experience working with cloud-based service providers e.g. PaaS, SaaS,
ASPs, etc.
