*Job Title : Network Engineer* *Location : Van Buren Township, MI* *Duration : 11+ Months +/ Contract* *Interview Mode: Phone + Skype* *Please reply me back at [email protected] <[email protected]>* *PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:* Design and implement new functionality and topology on our global network. *ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:* •Take responsibility for the entire lifecycle of network design: Gathering requirements, producing a design, creating a BOM, ordering hardware, planning the installation, installing the hardware, configuring it, troubleshooting/verifying it works, and producing the required documentation. This includes all aspects of our global network including WAN, LAN, and WLAN devices. •Establishing standards for hardware, designs, and configurations. •Following defined processes and methods. •Use/familiarity of standard network tools for monitoring and management. Desirable to have NetMRI, Spectrum, Splunk, NetQOS experience. •Acting as an expert network diagnostician and problem solver in the rare cases when the operational team cannot resolve an issue. •Other duties as assigned, including performing the tasks assigned to other positions if/when workload becomes temporarily unbalanced. *Required:* •3-5 years of experience with network requirements gathering, design, implementation, administration, and troubleshooting of networks, including IP routers, and layer 2 and layer 3 switches.
