I am looking forward to hear from you soon!! *Job Posting Title* * :* * Build/Release/ Configuration Management Engineer* *Work Location : Northridge, CA 91325* *Duration : 4 months (open ended contract on W2)* POSITION DESCRIPTION: Provide software configuration management services to support the development of safety critical software for medical devices which over 400,000 people depend on each day. Participate in all aspects of SCM, including creating, executing and training on repeatable processes, supporting test efforts, manage software tools, and contribute to continuous improvement. Directly contribute to mission to Alleviate Pain, Restore Health, and Extend Life by being on the leading edge to bring closed-loop control to insulin-dependent diabetics across the world. ______________________________________________________________________ POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: • Partners with development teams to establish the file structure of the project Source Control libraries • Administers the Source Control tool providing maintenance and troubleshooting. Ensures all project source materials are maintained in the Source Control library including software source code and project documentation • Create, implement, and maintain software configuration management plans for multi-site project teams developing in *embedded C and C# in a .NET* environment. • Review and correct &/or improve build and release procedures to ensure software integrity and reduce execution time • Collect, report and drive continuous improvement on software quality and team productivity through trend reporting analysis and metrics management • Investigate, recommend, procure, configure and maintain software development tools • Identifies and implements improvements to tools • Perform standard and exceptional software releases per documented processes and best practices • Create application specific release documentation; ensure dependencies and compatibilities through appropriate verification • Responsible for ensuring appropriateness and thoroughness in the creation, implementation, and maintenance the software release management process for multiple software applications with potentially complex dependencies • Drives continuous improvement through trend reporting analysis and metrics management • Performs standard and exceptional software releases per documented processes and best practices. ______________________________________________________________________ *BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:* IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION, THE FOLLOWING BASIC QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE EVIDENT ON YOUR RESUME *REQUIRED EDUCATION:* • Bachelor in scientific or engineering field or computer technology * REQUIRED YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:* • *10+ years* experience working in software development organization • 5+ years experience configuration management • 5+ years experience developing build scripts/make files for software builds including complex scripts to support product line models REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: • Experience script programming with script languages (e.g., *Perl, Python**，RegEX, shell, batch)* • Experience developing and maintaining SCM and build solutions • Experience in specifying and implementing SCM solution with IT to support distributed software teams • Strong knowledge of configuration management industry standards and best practices • Experience on a variety of SCM toolsets • Basic understanding and capability in branching, merging, and archiving using SCM • Proficiency in engineering documentation • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, VISIO, and Outlook • Proficiency with Window Server and UNIX • Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) • Understanding of software testing; Verification & Validation __________________________________________________________ DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • 5+ years experience configuration management with at least 2 or more SCM systems for 3 or more software projects • 2+ years experience with Seapine Surround • 2+ years experience with IAR development tools • 2+ years experience with Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server • 2+ years experience integrating build systems with automated test framework • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, VISIO, and Outlook • In depth knowledge of SCM processes and practices.
