Problems will generally be around Prediction, Forecasting and Pattern detections 2. Interact with customers and understand problem 3. KPIT customers are usually Manufacturing and Utilities - so understand terms related to these domains (basic engineering should be enough) 4. Understand processes and data sources 5. Extract and clean data for use by tools like R, MatLab etc 6. Apply maths, statistics and machine learning to solve the problems 7. Present the approach and solution using visualization tools Skills: 1. Must have handled data for more 5 years 2. Passion for data analysis and data science 3. Understand at a deeper level the data sci/ML techniques - so as to be use them in *real demosntratable practical *situations and not just on exercise type problems 4. Continuous and fast learner - very vast complex technical field 5. Understand data sources and related technologies quickly - from SAP to Hadoop etc. 6. Techniques: As many as possible. Stats and Machine learning 7. Tools: R, Matlab, Python, Tableau etc. 8. Some specific: ddplyr, ggplot, text-mining, caret, data sampling, validation, time series Experience: 1. Basic statistics, data analysis: 5 years 2. Machine learning on real POCs and projects: 1 year - or- 4-6 in count total 3.
