The SharePoint Technology Architect will be responsible for oversight of the design and implementation of both packaged and custom Microsoft SharePoint application systems and related application infrastructure. The position interacts with IT and business leads globally as well as and external service providers. Experience with global corporations and the ability to consult to senior business leadership is preferred. *Specific responsibilities: * • Lead SharePoint architecture and design activities o Mock ups and proof-of-concepts targeting new enterprise SharePoint implementations. o Monitor and size SharePoint infrastructure to meet the capacity and usage. o Implement integration and reference architectures to interface SharePoint with SAP and other systems. o Work with Security Architecture team to plan SharePoint environments align with security standards (https, FQDN etc.,). o Review Vendor proposals and timelines on new SharePoint Applications. o Plan for Cloud Strategy and cloud migration. • Work closely with IT and business leaders to implemented SharePoint solutions. o Recognize possible solutions to business and technical problems by effectively leveraging OOTB functionality and third-party products. o Lead architecture and design activities for SharePoint projects through the use of mock ups and proof-of-concepts targeting new enterprise SharePoint implementations. o Evaluate third party tools for fitment analysis with GenRe environment. • Microsoft and SharePoint patch management. *Experience/Skills Required: * • 10 or more years of experience in business systems implementation or software development in a corporate or consulting environment • Experience operating within a global, enterprise-wide infrastructure • Experience as an architect/programmer • Experience with SharePoint is required, including oversight, customizing and support: • SharePoint 2013 and SharePoint Designer 2013 • .Net 3.x (preferred) • Experience enforcing platform governance • Possess strong MS platform knowledge and skills • Familiar with internal and external access security schema • Experience with integration of SharePoint with other enterprise platforms (SAP, Documentum, Saleforce.com, CornerStone, etc) is highly desired. • Knowledge of Microsoft Business Intelligence capabilities preferred • Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to keep people informed and present at the Sr/ Executive Leadership level • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline • Industry certification in Microsoft technologies (MCITP/MSCE) preferred.
