*Job Title* Systems Security Analyst *Project Location* Sunnyvale CA *Duration* 6 months /Contract * Skills Required and Job Description:* *Mode of Interview: Telephonic Followed Face2Face* 2-5 Years security experience A lot of operational experience is better than multiple certifications. Threat Analysis Incident/Event Response Inter-Networking skills (IDS/IPS) NGFW As well as Windows (AD and the security impact on a windows environment/Linux skills) Much of the assessment portion of the work is done by their existing scanning system, as well as independent testing and observation of our environment. The patching and remediation work is going to be done primarily by the teams with the systems to patch- servers, endpoints and network devices. In the Windows are, in particular- will be covering much of those skills/needs. Having experience in this area is a valuable skill, but only insofar as coordination or interpretation of the Security needs to the Operational teams. Much more important in this ‘analyst’ role are abilities to do troubleshooting in a complex environment where systems either are not behaving as expected, security posture is weakened (without clear understanding of why), or working closely with operational and tactical security operations tools for the Network, Endpoint (and some applications), but importantly working to examine event and incident data to discover root cause, identify trends, care and tune security-privacy and continuity of operations systems and procedures to improve outcomes. *Responsibilities include:* Responsible for developing and managing a security operations program and team Be a part of the computer security incident response program Establish and maintain strong working relationships with groups involved with information security matters such as the Legal Department, Internal Audit Department, Physical Security Department, Information Technology Department, HR and all outsourced IT organizations. Responsible for establishing a corporate security awareness Propose security policies and manages security processes and standards Manages risk assessments, gap analysis, and develops mitigation proposals Ensures that IT Security controls meet regulatory and company requirements Responsible for proposing information security strategy and action plans Responsible for directing and evaluating gap analysis, feasibility and risk analysis, project scoping and resource planning Directs information security investigation activities (ediscovery / forensics) Oversees the execution of projects, managing scope, timeline, budget, quality, resources, and risk Responsible for establishing priorities and schedules for security operations and projects Responsible for managing business relationships with security service suppliers Establish and monitors key performance indicators and other key security metric.
