*DW Engineer* *South Brunswick, NJ* *12+Months* General Requirements for this position: ○ Understand the existing Data Warehouse solutions, data flows, processing platforms, technical standards and how these solutions deliver reporting and analytic value to the business. ○ Working with business and functional requirements and stakeholders; undertake data analysis, technical design, build/test, deploy of Data Warehouse solutions. ○ Working in a technical delivery team manage your delivery expectations (estimation, progress, blockers), be able to articulate risks/issues and deliver outcomes on project requirements. ○ The candidate should experienced on relevant technology platforms, have strong solution domain experience and understanding, and, be independently effective within a team environment. ● *Responsibilities* *Analysis & Design:* ❖ Understand business and functional requirements - work with project stakeholders to turn business and functional requirements into technical data design. ❖ Data analysis and profiling - discover and analyse source data, assess data quality and fit for purpose. ❖ Data modeling - develop data design and models to deliver requirements and in line with reality of the data analysis. ❖ Data processing - ETL mappings to extract, data validation, transform and load data into the data warehouse. *Build & Test:* ❖ Data Processing / Pipelines - ETL mappings to extract, data validation, transform and load data into the data warehouse. ❖ Data Warehouse / Marts - Database objects, data content, audit and reconciliation. *Deployment:* ❖ Feature release and technical deployment - complete deployment processes and technical component management to standards. ❖ Documentation and metadata - deliver required design, build, test documentation and metadata delivery including functional/technical design, operations guide, code commentary. ● *Skills:* ❖ Database / Data Warehouse design and development. ❖ Data Modelling. ❖ ETL design and development. ❖ Agile processes and iterative development ❖ Cloud solutions (AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery) ● *Technology expertise:* ❖ Oracle, MySQL, DB2 - database design and development ❖ IBM Datastage - ETL design and development ❖ Programming experience with one or more of C, Java, python. ❖ SQL - expert in SQL query development, tuning ● *Work experience:* ❖ 8+ years of hands-on IT experience ❖ 5+ years of Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence experience ❖ 7+ years of hands on experience with multiple relational databases (Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, MySQL, PostreSQL) ❖ Industry experience in one or more of Finance, Publishing, and Media is a plus.
