- 5+ years experience in software engineering
- Effective communication skills, ability to demonstrate concise and
thoughtful correspondence
- Strong problem solving, analysis, design and testing skills
- Knowledge of software performance, scalability, maintainability,
reusability and security
- Experience working within an Agile Scrum environment
- Experience building and supporting applications using Java SE 4-8
- Experience working with Java Swing applications on Windows and iOS
- Deep knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, hSQLdb)
- Strong experience with HTML, JavaScript, XML, XML Parsing
- Experience creating installations packages using InstallShield and/or
InstallAnywhere
- Experience with source code control products (GIT, SVN, Perforce)
- Experience building and maintaining build scripts
- Experience with web services and PCI compliant environments
*Preferred Skills/Experience*
- Knowledge of reporting packages such as JasperReports a plus
- Knowledge of OMR scanning hardware/software a huge plus
