*Priority Requirement!!!*

We are looking for a seasoned performance engineer with experience in the
areas of performance analysis (browser/mobile, application, and database),
performance optimization, capacity planning, and performance testing. The
Rearden Commerce Performance Engineering team is responsible for removing
Performance, Reliability, and Scalability (PRS) risks from internally
developed applications. This requires upstream participation with
development and project stakeholders to drive creation of appropriate
performance requirements, shortly followed by subsequent measurement and
validation of these requirements throughout the agile development cycle.
Profiling of application component performance during the development cycle
is key in order to both identify and verify removal of risk if a fix is
required/applied. Running detailed performance studies on prototypes is a
common activity.

When former colleagues think of application performance they think of you.
You must be able to operate independently, effectively engaging with
stakeholders, troubleshooting configuration issues, and helping to move
projects forward when challenges arise.
The ability to understand component interactions across technology
boundaries is key, taking complex performance problems and decomposing them
into their constituent parts. Java is the base application programming
language. As such the candidate should have familiarity with Java
performance analysis, particularly in the area of heap management and
call-stack service time decomposition. Performance and Scalability should
be a key area of career focus for the candidate.

Note: Use of a commercial load testing tool is not a top priority for this
position, performance analysis, both depth and breadth, should be
considered the strong suit for a the candidate.
