Please include your employer details as well. *Job Title* *Splunk Automation Tools* *Project Location * *Kansas City, MO* *Duration* *6+ months /Contract* *Skills Required and Job Description:* *Mode of Interview: Telephonic Followed By Skype* *Need USC/GC/EAD-GC Only* The engineer will establish best practice utilizing the Enterprise tools within infrastructure (VMWare, SCCM, SCOM, Puppet, Splunk), and automates, monitors, maintains, and repairs network systems performance, functionality and capacity. The Monitoring/Dashboard engineer will: • Train support teams on tool usage and alert response • Establish related monitoring standards, processes and best practices • Collaborate with various teams to improve monitoring coverage • Resolves and implements complex and/or integrated monitoring issues • Follows established procedures and performs assigned tasks • Utilize industry standard technologies to insure the integrity of recoverability of servers; backups, patch installations, performance monitoring, etc. • Work with project and application development teams to implement new business initiatives as they relate to cloud services • Work with application teams to troubleshoot complex problems that impact customer ability to perform required business functions • Other duties as assigned *MINIMUM: * • Using and administering log management tools such as Splunk • Using and administering monitoring tools such as SCOM • Using and administering performance and capacity planning tools (VRealize Ops, Hitachi Command Suite, etc.) • Establish requirements from technical and non-technical resources • Three-tier web architecture • Networking technologies and protocols • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Strong analytical skills and proven methodical problem-solving skills • Communicate cross functionally and at all levels • MS Office products (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project) • Superior project management and organizational skills with ability to multi-task or reprioritize resources or tasks • Configuration management (Puppet, SCCM/DCM, VMWare, Hitachi Command Suite, etc.) *PREFERRED: * • Experience using Splunk log management tool *Umang Jain | Sr. Technical Recruiter| Apetan Consulting LLC* *Phone: 201-620-9700* ** 1**45** | * *Mailing Address:* 72 Van Reipen Avenue pmb#255, Jersey City, NJ 07306 *Corp.
