They identify and communicate business needs and translate business requirements into technical system and functional specifications. Systems Analysts determine if internal or external solutions exist or whether new solutions are feasible. They map process flows and must determine if these solutions impact existing work processes and systems as well as ensure proper integration, testing, and system/user documentation. They are also responsible for providing input surrounding buy vs. build decisions for possible IT system solutions. Systems Analysts must have a working knowledge of the business area that they support. They need a solid understanding of the client's existing business processes, the key drivers and measures of success and the short- and long-term direction of their business and technology. In addition, a strong understanding of the customer's overall IT architecture is also required in order to understand the issues and implications of proposed system and hardware solutions. *Top 3 Skills/Experience* 1. Analytical skills - Business requirements, designs, issue resolution - 3-5 years 2. Technical skills including coding and/or development - 3-5 years 3. NPS Benefits/claims testing - 3-5 years *Required Skills/Experience* 1. Working knowledge of NASCO, BFAST and other NASCO application tools. 2. Knowledge of Medical insurance claims processing. 3. Demonstrated working experience of project implementation, planning, processes and delivery. 4. Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills. 5. Experience serving as a liaison between business and IT. 6. Ability to perform as a self-starter, with motivation to be accountable and consistently produce high quality results. 7. Proficiency with MS Office: Project, Word, Excel, Power Point - 3 years. 8. Strong organizational and follow-through skills, and particularly strong attention to detail. 9. Ability to take/follow direction and work independently. 10. Demonstrated strong customer relationship skills. 11. Demonstrated flexibility, self-discipline and ability to work independently, as well as within a group. *Preferred Skills/Experience* 1. Working experience with BCBSM 2. Proficient in BFAST/Benefit File 3.
