- Have experience working with Firewalls, Proxy Servers, Authentication
systems or gateway configuration
- Firewall Rule Set Administration
- 3rd level maintenance break-fix support for firewalls, Spam mail
systems, VPN concentrators, DNS, TACACS and Radius Services (server based
configs.), etc.
- Access Control Lists (ACLs) formation and implementation
- Develop, Deeploy and Maintain Perimeter Detection and Prevention
Systems – IDS and IPS.
- Security hot fixes to software of various devices, operating systems,
and applications.
- Backup and restore procedures for network device configurations
- Firewall Session Logging
- Perform Network Device Configuration Auditing
- Develop, Deploy and Maintain Strong Authentication Services
- TACACS
- RADIUS
- Perform TACACS and RADIUS Server configuration and system level
administration
- Develop, Deploy and Maintain Corporate Internet Solutions
- HTTP Proxy Services – Authentication and Netcache Administration
- FTP/SSH/Telnet Proxy Services
- Development DMZs
- Site-to-Site IPSec VPNs
- SMTP Gateways – Ironport mail and DNS Cache (Solaris Bind)
- Develop, Deploy and Maintain Remote Access
- SSL Certs.
- IPSec VPN
- Develop, Deploy and Maintain lockdown processes and procedures for all
network devices (See the above)
- Develop, Deploy and Maintain detailed audit item mitigation processes,
procedures and records for:
- Device Configuration Standards
- Device Configuration Audits
- Security Vulnerability Assessment
- Patch Testing and Deployment
*General Responsibilities: *
- Help define overall security strategies and procedures
- Define and refine firewall policies
- Develop and implement network intrusion detection strategies
- Work with the rest of the operations team to monitor stability and
performance and ensure 24x7 operation
- Monitor vendor and 3rd party security reports/lists and proactively
patch vulnerabilities
- Perform security reviews and audits Security Engineers by reviewing
designs for security issues
- Evaluate new and emerging products and technologies
- Evangelize security
