We have an immediate opportunity for *Network admin at **San Ramon, CA.*
*Job Title: Network admin*
*Location: San Ramon, CA.*
*Duration: 9 months +*
- Network admin – Terminal Servers, preferably in a compliance
environment.
- Day to day: This resource will be maintain all windows servers,
hardware (HP), and will be working with Archer (compliance tool that tracks
where they are in a compliance perspective) to confirm everything is
completed in a timely fashion. Will be working on groups in USA, Latin
America, South Africa, and Asia.
- Manager will like to see candidate have relevant work experience
similar to this experience of 5 years or more. Need to have experience
working with Windows systems such as configurations 2012. Resource can also
have experience working with configurations with 2008. Experience with HP
DL380 Gen 9 Server. Oil/gas is a nice to have and any certifications are
nice to have.
- Knowledge and experience administering Windows OS, VMware (ESXi
VSphere) and Active Directory.
- Project includes: Resource will be working on project where they will
support terminals. When oil is brought up out of the ground to refineries,
that oil is turned into the product and shipped to a terminal via pipeline,
barge, etc. Additives are then added into the product and then loaded into
trucks to be distributed to the final destination (gas stations). This
group supports the terminals and the servers ("racks") at each terminal.
This resource will make sure all servers are in a compliance based on the
rules and regulates that are established. This resource will make sure that
all systems are up to date.
*Summary: *
- The person filling this position performs a critical compliance role
within the T&O Global IT organization. This role assists with audit
preparation tasks and supports the Global Fueling Terminals PCN IT
Infrastructure roadmap and assists with deployment and implementation of
new technologies. The role reports to the Terminal Automation Team Lead
based in San Ramon, California. Job responsibilities include but are not
limited to the following:
- Complete gap analysis and remediation of Chevron internal compliance
controls for the following technologies: Windows O/S, IIS, Anti-Virus,
VMware, MS SQL, etc...
- Knowledge and experience administering Windows OS, VMware (ESXi
VSphere) and Active Directory.
- Technical writing skills - complete review of and update any needed
documentation for: evergreen processes, system diagrams, user guide, and
system administrator’s guide.
- Assist with ensuring compliance of all internal Chevron audit
compliance
- Completing review of existing PCN exceptions and create new exceptions
as needed.
- Assist with review and maintenance of documentation for PLC, PCN, and
software applications
- Acts as work stream leader
- Evaluates alternatives and provides feedback on recommend solutions
- Reviews and edits requirements, specifications, business processes and
recommendations related to proposed solutions
- Develops documentation to support server staging process
- Contributes to process improvement activities
- Completes tasks and sets priorities without supervision.
- Effectively facilitates meetings with project team members
*Education/Experience:*
- Bachelor’s Degree in technology discipline or relevant experience,
generally recognized professional qualification or certification such as
CISA, CISM, CMC or CISSP certification etc. is desirable.
- Ability to present persuasively and effectively
- Able to effectively facilitate meetings with project team members
- Ability to lead project sub-teams with consistent oversight
- Ability to provide task leadership to team and helps mentor junior
staff
- Ability to offer specialized functional, technical or industry
expertise to business process improvement and strategy engagements
- 5-7 years of relevant work experience
