Hi, Job Title: Android Developer Location: Houston, Texas Duration: 6+ Months/Contract *Interview: Phone and Face 2 Face* *Need USC/GC/EAD-GC Only* Description: Principal Duties and Responsibilities - Use Microsoft technologies: C#, ASP.NET, SQL, and Microsoft workflow to develop web applications - Design and develop intuitive, usable, and engaging interactions and visual designs for iOS and Windows platform - Independently perform expert level analysis and design by translating business requirements into technical specification. Code, test, and document according to the approved technical design. - Integrate with our back-end services to make sure we are delivering great mobile user experience. - Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect mobile applications to back-end services. - Excellent understanding of user experience design for mobile and the web, technology trends, demonstrable design skills, and ability to show relevant work. - Provide technical expertise across multiple areas of application development - Implement all aspects of an application design – high performance design, coding, caching mechanisms, security, encryption, state management, error logging, debugging, scalability, code reviews, development environment configuration, and testing - Collaborate with users to gather requirements and coordinating with internal teams to ensure that solutions are developed to meet the needs and requirements of the users. - Perform unit and system level testing - Develop and maintain all documentation related to applications supported. - As a senior member of the team, will also mentor and help train other members of the team. - Evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities, trends and best practices that can be leveraged to strengthen technology platform and development practices. - A good understanding of tiered architecture - Proven track record of designing scalable, software applications - Participate in rotation of 24x7 on-call support - Maintain regular and consistent communications with the Supervisor – Distributed Solutions Minimum Requirements for this position - Ability to respond effectively in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing and competing priorities - Strong customer-oriented focus in providing technology services and support - Effective communication, team working and organizational skills. Good interpersonal skills. - Demonstrate a self-starting attitude and ability to proactively address and troubleshoot system issues with limited direction - Maintain flexible attitude and approach towards assignments and successfully operate under ambiguous guidelines - Exercise sound judgments and make decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions - Work effectively alone or as part of a team on projects - Respect and maintain confidentiality of organization, project, fiscal, and personnel related information - Committed to a high standard of safety and willing and able to comply with all safety laws and all of the employer’s safety policies and rules.
