Dear all
it`s a great pleasure to announce that the Creative Commons iftar
project that was born on this very list less than a month ago will
finally kick off next week!
The first CC Iftar has been organized for next 2nd of Sept
Please see all the information and how to join the event here below:
http://arabic.creativecommons.org/page/dubai
Amman will follow on the 4th, Damascus on the 5th and Cairo on the
7th
Each team has got a city page here http://arabic.creativecommons.org/cciftar
which will be filled up with information in the next days so stay
tuned and learn how to join each iftar!
For those who are wondering why their city it`s not on the list, I`d
like to say that the CC Iftar event is self-organized and community
based. All these 4 cities have got a self organized team of volunteers
who have done all the work, so if your city is not on that list it`s
just because maybe there is no CC community there, or not strong
enough to support such an organizational effort, or maybe it`s just
because people were busy or on holidays:)
Next year, inshallah, we`ll have more cities joining. Stay tuned! If
the event is successful, we`ll try to repeat next year inshallah. Just
waiting for your feedback!

I owe million thanks to the wonderful people who have made this
happening (in order of Iftar date):

Films and @missgoogle
