* The Revolution and Beyond*: Four Nights of Personal Testimonies Enacted Through Improvisational Theatre and Music Audience members will be invited to share personal accounts from life during and after the revolution. A group of Palestinian actors and Egyptian master musicians will turn each story into an improvised enactment. *Coptic Voices from the Revolution* *Tuesday April 17th; **8pm - 10pm, Venue: TBD* Coptic Christians will share stories about life during and after the revolution. (This is a closed event - *not publicly advertised* - with a focus on community building and trauma healing.) * * *Workers, Strikes and the Revolution* *Wednesday April 18th; 8pm - 10pm, Venue: El Warsha Theatre* Workers, union members and others will be invited to share stories about worker actions and the state/military response, before, during and after the revolution. *Martyrs, Prisoners and the Revolution **Thursday April 19th; 8pm - 10pm, Venue: Ultras sit-in at Parliament House* (If the sit-in is over, this event will take place at El Warsha Theatre) People will be invited to share stories about friends and family members who were martyred or injured whilst protesting against the Mubarak regime and SCAF. We will also hear stories about those who have been imprisoned for political activity. *Art, Resistance and the Revolution **Friday April 20th; 8pm - 11pm, Venue: Rawabet Theatre* Musicians, rappers, graffiti artists, poets, filmmakers and other artists will be invited to share stories about their use of art during and after the uprisings. Ramy Essam, Arabian Knightz, El Mastaba musicians and the Warsha Troupe will perform at this event. *Stories from the Syrian Revolution **Saturday April 21st; 8pm - 10pm, Venue: Syria Revolution Tent, Tahrir Square* Syrian refugees will share their experiences about the Syrian uprisings. At each event, The Freedom Theatre’s ‘Freedom Bus Troupe’ will use Playback Theatre <http://www.playbacktheatre.org/about/> - an approach where audience members share autobiographical accounts and then watch as a team of actors and musicians instantly transform these accounts into improvised theatre pieces. Playback Theatre provides opportunity for community building, collective reflection, cultural activism, and trauma recovery.
