Those books would be a good start. I don't know what your background is
though, so whether that will be enough or not is a different story.

But it will be good to go through those, and go attempt the exam. After
that, you'll have a very good idea about where you stand, and what areas you
still need some work with though.

Memorizing isn't very helpful though! Know the concepts because the vast
majority of the questions you'll get on the written are about applying the
knowledge in a situation!

Subject: [OSL | CCIE_RS] ccie?

Hi everyone.
My CCNP is expiring end of 2008 and I was actually panning on getting my
CCDA and CCDP to recertify and upgrade. But my manager talked me into
attempting the ccie.
I hope to join you guys on this list in sharing info and for motivation and
guidance.
To start of, the study material for the written. Most of the archives of
mailing lists on the net indicate atleast 15 books that need to be purchased
for the written. Even if i could afford it, i dont think i could memorize
all that info for one exam.
Is there a short and sweet list? I am thinking the 2 Doyle books, the LAN
switching book and the Odom official cert guide.
What do you think? Which one should i start preps with?
Regards
Ajay
