So I was working on Lab26 last Saturday and found some interesting 'anomalies'
while playing with the IPv6 portion.

So here's the situation

(R1 f0/0) ----- (f1/0 R2 s0/1/0) ----- (s0/1/0 R5 f0/1) --- (f0/0 R7~)

OSPFv3 running on R2, R5 and R7.

R7 knows about all subnets expect the one between R1 and R2.

When I ping from R2 to R7's F0/0 interface I get time outs.

I can ping from R7 to R2's s0/1/0 interface.

After doing a 'debug ipv pack' on R5 I can see that R2 is sourcing the IPv6
packet with its F1/0 interface.

If I manually source R2's s0/1/0 interface when I ping R7 I get replies.

Is it just me or does anyone else see a problem with this? R2 should be
sourcing from its outgoing interface correct?

Hi Matt,

Thanks for the information. I better wait one week and get the revised version.
One week more or less doesn't matter.

regards

Roger

Hello, everyone.

Suresh is correct. While we regret delaying this one more week (trust me, we
want to get this stuff out there!), our guys caught some things during final
pass through that gave us pause.

During our team meeting, we discussed the two options:
1. Push the materials out to market, with known issues that would mean the
release immediate revision just one week later.
2. Hold off just one more week to give the guys time to tweak some areas,
resulting in a release we can be proud of and, more importantly, one you can
rely on as top-quality.
Faced with those two choices, it was clear what we needed to do. I can assure
you that we want you to have the material as much as you want to get started
working with it. We're looking at uploading files to your account one week from
today, Monday the 23rd.

If you are in need of material to work on during these seven days, we are happy
to give you access to the current Workbook and Proctor Guide files (version 9)
if you don't have those already.

Please accept our apologies for the delay. We do appreciate your patience and
understand your desire to dig into the new stuff. :)
