I already contacted Mike Down @ Ipexpert, on friday. However, I noticed it's
still in the workbook. Trust me, I know it will be resolved, but it lead me to
some questions so here we go. On Volume 1 (Updated June 26th 2009) I noticed
that page 6 has the security topology listed. I saw ASA's and IPS and ACS and I
almost flipped out thinking the topology changed. Also I want to verify page 5
is correct as well for the switches.
I am BRAN SPANKIN NEW to the CCIE RS and I am about to start on the workbook in
a week or 3 (I have my very last ccnp test the ONT on Sept 2nd) so I want to
verify what's new and what's not before I dive in! I got my 6 foot whiteboard
that goes on each wall plus smaller ones, so I am ready to draw stuff haha.
Ok so to the serious business:
MPLS vpn and the new troubleshooting section are the main deal right? I heard
people are scared about it, but whatever I don't
care.
What are your study methods (Whoa, I know this is a huge topic so many ways to
do it)?
Currently, I use the supermemo software and have been doing that for around 6
months since I started the CCNA to CCNP track and I will continue to do so for
the CCIE since I noticed a HUGE DRAMATIC IMPROVEMENT in memory retention.
Alright, I am done rambling on. On the last side note, CCIE R&S Guide 4th
edition will be out on Oct 18th 2009, so those of you who might be buying the
3rd edition, don't do it :).
Kind of funny that Oct 18th is the same day they change the lab. Good times!
-Thanks a bunch, I have lurked and learned much on these boards and I hope to
contribute something of use soon :)
-Nick
