Excellent news Nicholas! I'm glad to hear you got a boost of confidence going through the workbooks. Sometimes it helps to take a break from the book theory and get some hands on experience. Heck, I know a lot of guys that just start studying for the lab and take the written as kind of a step on the way. I am the kind of guy that tends to focus on one thing at a time, so that was not my path but some people do! Keep working hard like you are and I know you will find your # down the road here.
