Workbook 2, Lab 6, Task 5.1 We need to configure IP PIM sparse-mode on the link between R1 and R2. This link physically is a Ethernet connection. However, earlier in the lab we configured PPPoE for this link. So, I figure that all further pertinent configurations between these two routers needs to happen on the virtual-template and dialer interfaces.
Looking in the DSG, the solution is to configure ip pim sparse directly on the Ethernet interfaces between these two routers and NOT on the virtual-template/dialer interfaces.
