Hi Alex,
From my own experience I would say that the network modules in the routers have basic functionality but donot cover everything there is to know about ethernet and some are very important. Still there is a lot to learn in layer 2 with GNS3/Dynamips. Once you get this basic stuff well understood you may wast to rest time if you do not want to build your own lab, in order to learn the rest of the stuff, such as Rapid-PVST, MST, DTP, Port-Channel negotiation, and a slew of other cool stuff.
I am fortunate enough to have a hybrid GNS3 + 4 3560s lab that helps me there. Still I do a lot of research and minilabs with GNS3 and it is just great. You can do similar testing of tons of stuff with GNS3 if you are conscious of its limitations.
HTH,

Can someone explain if there are real differences between GNS and equipment offered by Proctor-LABS?
I mean better, a debug to gns is absolutely true and correct as on a real device?
What I understand, surfing the web anyone promote the GNS, if I have enough resources HW to manage 8 Router and 4 Switches L3
Thanks in advance.
