8.7: VLAN 2567 should not allow any RIP packets to go across. Do not use any commands under "router rip" nor "interface fa0/1" of any router.
Technically, in step 8.6, "passive-interface default" is already used to ensure updates are only sent out of necessary interfaces. Wouldn't it violate the requirement of question 8.7? Or should I do a "no passive-interface" to partially negate the previous task on the router, and then utilize vlan-filter/vlan-map to filter out RIP packets on the switch? =================================================================================== CONFIDENTIALITY NOTICE: This email and any files transmitted with it are confidential and intended solely for the use of the individual or entity to which they are addressed.
