Hello,

The cisco documentation describes the ingress queue operation regarding BW
allocation in the following lines.

Catalyst 3560 switch software configuration guide IOS 12.2(55)SE, page 840:

SRR services the priority queue for its configured weight as specified by
the bandwidth keyword in the mls qos srr-queue input priority-queue queue-id
bandwidth weight global configuration command. Then, SRR shares the
remaining bandwidth with both ingress queues and services them as specified
by the weights configured with the mls qos srr-queue input bandwidth weight1
weight2 global configuration command.

Can anyone shed some light on what this means exactly, my interpretation of
the document is that first, 0-40% of the "stack ring" can be reserved using
the "mls qos srr-queue input priority-queue 2 bandwidth 40" then the
remaining BW (60% in this case) can be allocated to both queues with the
"mls qos srr-queue input bandwidth 2 1" effectively granting queue two 40%
of the stack ring plus 50% of the remaining BW using the these specific
commands.

Thank you,
Max
