Second, let everyone know in your family that your social life is about to
be distrupted for a time.
Third, put together a schedule to read, watch video's, do labs and more
labs.
Don't worry about going and taking your written exam right away, "be one
with the CCIE knowledge" you will need to get a deep understanding of the
technology in the written lab portion, and have a greater understanding of
what you will need in the LAB. Obiviously your on Ipexperts OSL so your
probable using their labs, I can say that they are great, thorough and
Ipexperts has a great group of instructors, If you get a chance to go to
one of the One Week Lab experiences I would highly suggest it. I also
suggest reading, watching and doing labs in combination as for me there is
no other way to keep my mind from playing tricks on me. Trying to read
all the books in the CCIE reading library is a sure way to drive you mad
very quickly. Listed below are the books I have read, the few that do not

Ultimately the amount of time you need to study, the amount of time you
will spend away from your regular life really comes down to you.

Last bit of advise, learn where everything is on the Cisco documentation
website; it's your friend "after you have battled it" of course.
