For some of you on this d-list it must be of a groundhog day, same questions over and over. I feel like this one has been asked before. It starts from LAB 17 vol 2 task 5.3 - CAT2 will always prefer OSPF routes from R5 - my solution - distance 111 R6_addres 0.0.0.0 acl dsg solution - distance 109 R5 address 0.0.0.0 acl Slightly different approach same concept. The problem is it does not work either way. All routes are affected not just the ones learnt from the router detailed in the distance command (in the dsg there is no verification section on this task, so you can't see if it worked on not when applied by the ipexpert instructor). Spend a bit of time on it, do some digging and found this: https://learningnetwork.cisco.com/thread/8963 which says: "CSCeh46993 modifies OSPF to make it impossible to change the administrative distance for routes from just one advertising router within one OSPF process. I've contacted the Cisco 360 folks and they are going to update the lab scenario, answer key and mentor guide. " Can you guys confirm this is correct? In that case, would it be beneficial for ipexpert to have a page on the website with the issues we are finding? I think it is good to find out this issues by myself, hopefully it helps me remember them better, but it would also be good to be able to verify them.
