[OSL | CCIE_Security] IPSec tunnel between two ASAs: how to verify connectivity?

Hi,
I wanted to setup and IPSec tunnel between two ASAs. I wonder how I  
could verify connectivity? I don't see a possibility to create an  
loopback interface on each ASA to terminate the VPN on each,
Could I configure another interface on each ASA an terminate the VPN  
on it?
