Make sure that there is something more specific than a default route  
to the opposing peer in each direction.  If it is a different AS, make  
sure you fo "ebg multihop".

Also, I can't recall the specifics of the configuration from memory,  
but I think the authentication, option filtering, etc was covered  
pretty well in the pg. Are you seeing any logs on the ASA?
