A temp license as I understand it has a countdown timer on it.  So for
example if your standby unit has a temp license the countdown timer will
start if/when this firewall becomes the active unit.  Unfortunately I was
lead to believe this timer will not stop once started.  It counts down to
zero at which time the firewall needs to have a permanent license applied.This
information was communicated to me from sales engineers, so you should
verify this with your Cisco rep or through TAC.
