Your question got me curious so I tested ip accounting on a 3750 and was
unable to gather statistics of any kind. I tested output-packets &
access-list violations.
3750 Switch - Version 12.2(46)SE
Config:
ip accounting-list 10.2.7.0 0.0.0.255
!
interface Vlan211
ip address 10.2.7.9 255.255.255.0
ip access-group accouting-test out
ip accounting output-packets
ip accounting access-violations
Show results:
c3750(config-ext-nacl)#do sho access-list
Extended IP access list accouting-test
10 deny icmp host 10.2.7.10 any log-input (10 matches)
20 permit ip any any
c3750(config-ext-nacl)#do sho log | i denied
1d17h: %SEC-6-IPACCESSLOGDP: list accouting-test denied icmp 10.2.7.10
(Vlan211 0024.1476.09bf) -> 10.2.50.99 (0/0), 1 packet
c3750(config-ext-nacl)#do sho ip accounting

I checked the Cisco Feature Navigator and the 3750 does not appear to
support ip accounting. I cannot determine why it would take the commands.
Anyone have more information?
