You will definiteley need more than 1 router and firewall for serious lab
prep.
Personally I went through the exercise of looking at purchasing kit, and I
found the rack hire, was far more cost effective, than purchasing it myself.

As I was using IPexpert material for my studies, I exclusively used
Proctorlabs rack hire for my studies. http://proctorlabs.com/

Some people prefer their own kit to be flexible for their study, I found pre
booking my labs helped me focus more and make sure I sat down at those
strict times every week.

Check it out if you have not already. Im sure the sales guys will provide
some good deals, for multiple rack sessions if you decided down this route.
