Outlook will do it also, but it typical MS fashion it is either easy to
do and unusable or difficult. I do the second of course.

I use a double sort, first on subject then on received. This works about
95% of the time, sometimes the message to get out of order or the
original message ends up at the wrong end of the list. But it really
helps.

andArchiving Emails

Thanks,

Good Tip.

Mail.app on the mac also can group conversations based on subject. I
use it all the time. After all, in this type of environment: efficiency
is key!

Dear all,

I thought I'd share a tip I've been finding helpful when using this
email list.

If you use gmail as your mail client to subscribe it collates all of the
posts with the same subject into one email "thread" and when you click
that email you read the whole email train one email after another
without having to scroll through your inbox looking for replies or
related emails. It makes sorting through your inbox for a certain
subject very easy, too.

It's not a huge deal but just a little tip that I find useful. I have
all of the email trains going back months that I can read through in a
very efficient manner. They can be helpful when reading topics that
aren't documented very well and also to hear a technology explained in a
different way.

I've attached a screenshot showing my inbox with the emails collated and
a screenshot of an email which I've used chrome to zoom out on to
illustrate what I mean. The number in parenthesis after the name in the
inbox shows the number of emails in the conversation.

If anyone would like an invite to gmail let me know and I'll send one
over.

Hope that helps and good luck in your studies!

Ian
