Subject: [OSL | CCIE_Security] SPANs scenarios for IPS

Hi all

Please share your thoughts:

Query 1

How do I create a session with a source of vlan 2 and f1/0/2.

monitor session 1 source vlan 2

monitor session 1 source interface f1/0/2

I get the following error:

% Cannot add interfaces as sources for SPAN session 1

Query 2

sw 1

monitor session 1 source vlan 2

monitor session 1 destination remote vlan 999

sw 2

monitor session 1 source vlan 999

monitor session 1 destination interface f1/0/2

Is this valid instead of using "monitor session 1 source remote vlan 999" on
sw 2.

With regards

Kings
