Subject: [OSL | CCIE_Security] Lab 1A, Task 1.7

Hi,

I want to confirm my understanding of the static routes configured on R2 &
R4.

In the solution given 2 default routes were added on R2 & R4. I understand
the route back to the ASA outside int. Why the 2nd route?

Is it because the ASA does not know about the loopback interfaces on those 2
routers, will send it out the default route, and then hit either of the 2
routers. Adding the routes on R2 &R4 will send it to the right place.

Thanks

Johan
