HI Jimmy,

I basically always read through the lab and try to determine if some task further in the lab is necessary for the first task.
Then I setup basic connectivity and firewalling and work sequentially through the lab. If I know that a certain task can take a bit more time (as I need to look into the DocCD, or something else), then I move on to the next task.

Troubleshooting items I try to solve within 5 - 10 minutes. If not, I'm moving on.
So in general I've changed my strategy to just trying to get as much points as possible within the shortest time possible, so that I have spare time left for the other tasks.
And quite frankly, I always think (in the middle of the lab) that I don't have enough time, and time moves too fast, but then suddenly I'm at the last task and have my lab nearly completed in the 5-6 hours time (that was my aim in general, so you have some spare time left).

So, in general, I take firewalling first, as that is part of connectivity and then do the ips, identity management, and so on..

Hi

If you have a few tasks in the lab dealing with firewalling, and other parts dealing with aaa where tacacs/radius is going thru the firewalling devices, which do you recommend doing first? And why?

I have my opinion, I just want to have yours to see if I should reevaluate mine. ;)
