Thanks, Wayne & Tyson.

I am busy getting Dynamips going, that will have to do for now.

I didn’t realize that the support costs will escalate so much.

Do you know what the cost will be for a 4 hour slot?
I am happy to pay 60-65% of the 8 hour lab, I am sure most will be happy with
that.
The token idea suggested by Jimmy is a good one, that will also allow you to
make the weekend sessions more expensive (more tokens) than the week sessions,
when it is not so busy on the racks. The 4 hour slots will be very popular
during the week but the 8 hour slots will be best over the weekend. How about a
16 hour slot (reduced cost)?

How about 6 hour slots, 4 and not 3 sessions (or 6 x 4 hour sessions) every day
on the current system?
If the scripts to load the lab configs are the problem (support staff) then
having students paste the preconfigured configs onto the routers will solve
that problem.

Anyway, the benefit of having something to work on is great and already a cost
saver.

So - to sum up Tyson's email - we're still weighing the pros and cons. Of
course, the sales team wants 4-hour sessions - but support doesn't....we're not
sure our clients are willing to absorb the cost.

Thoughts?
