When doing the preliminary scrub, I copied and pasted all of the commands in
at once and then moved to the next router/switch. I didn't wait for the
output before going to the next router/switch. Then once I had pasted the
commands into every router/switch, I circled back to see the output; that
way you aren't wasting any cycles.

I agree that doing a show run is faster....But its easy to miss something
when ure not explicitly looking out for it :), It might just be my eyes but
I always keep missing out some detail when I do a full show-run ;)

Personally I would just do a show run on the devices. Much faster than
looking at several individual sections. But that is just my opinion.

Subject: [OSL | CCIE_Security] Topology map in lab

Hi all

I have in my mind to draw my own topology map during my real lab and do the
same in my mock labs. Can you please share your inputs on what are things
that I should have on the topology map like
IP address, vlan etc....

Also please find the strategy that I am going to use. Please share your
thoughts on it too.

* Draw my own lab topology with IP addressing.

* Read through the entire lab and note the points.

* Create task list with two columns, done and verified. I mark
them, when I am done with them.

* Make note of the Initial configs like ACL, VACLs, PBR that would
affect the tasks

sh run | in access-list
sh run | in access-group
sh run | in filter
sh run | in vlan access
sh run | in inspection
sh run | in class-map
sh run | in policy-map
sh run | in service-policy
sh run | in ip local
sh run | in route-map

* Leave the difficult tasks to the end.

* Try to finish lab in 6 hours and start verifying.

* Reload the labs, if you have enough time else skip them.

* Verify the tasks keeping mind how will scripts validate them.

With regards
Kings
