Yes. Been there, done that. Trial ACS will silently stop answer on requests
without further notice. In my environment at home I have a snapshot of my
ACS-machine before acs-install to use every 90 days, and a snapshot after
acs-install to use every time I want to start all over.

If you can verify if it has expired? I dunno. But for myself if I feel that
ACS doesnt respond and it was a while since I installed it a bell is
(hopefully) triggered in the back of my head that it is time to install it.
