Hello All,

I was going through the doc-cd and i noticed this. I'm not sure what this
command does. I tried testing this on the PIX on GNS3, but the command
stopped at "*mac-address auto*"

context CTX1

  allocate-interface GigabitEthernet0/0

  allocate-interface GigabitEthernet0/0.1-GigabitEthernet0/0.5

  mac-address auto GigabitEthernet0/0.1 a2d2.0400.11bc a2d2.0400.11bd

  mac-address auto GigabitEthernet0/0.2 a2d2.0400.11c0 a2d2.0400.11c1

My questions are :
1) Why do we manually set the IP addresses after entering the "*auto*"
keyword
2) What's the second IP assigned to every interface? The failover
mac-address? Is'nt this possible using the "*failover mac-address*" command?

Thanks and Cheers!
TacACK
