To be honest I am not sure but I believe it will drop traffic. I have never
tried to pass traffic as I am going thru recovery proceedures.

Subject: [OSL | CCIE_Security] recover command(fail-open)

Hi All,

Have a question .....When the Cisco IPS is been configured for
fail-open(in-line) and recover command is been used to recover the
application image on the sensor, during that time, will the IPS device, pass
through the traffic.

Thanks for clarifying
