The command path-mtu-discovery cannot be used as a replacement for ip mtu in 
practise...i have tried it in different sites and it the stuff refuse to kick 
in. 

I think its much better to specify the ip mtu 1400 and optionally tune the ip 
tcp adjust-mss...
